No. Haven't had snow for a while. Starting to warm up. Yellow dust, er I mean spring is just around the corner.

Still need a jacket but the Siberian express isn't rolling through anymore.

Awesome, see you soon Ross! And yes we got to move right in to our apartments, which are brand new. Though, they are in the basement and really small, even by Korean standards if the old teachers' places are anything to go by. The plus side is they're 5mins from the subway and everything you'll need. Hah yeah I was actually looking forward to the love motel experience, but it was nice to get settled quickly.

As for whether this is a good or a rotten SLP...the old teachers say we lucked out and the school is a good one.

I can say with absolute certainty that you will get the afternoon shift, because we're doing the morning kindy training right now, which is pretty intensive and specialised, and because you're coming later they've decided to put you in the PM. I'm still up in the air though, because there's one last spot for the afternoon and two of us who want it. They're waiting to see our teaching styles to decide who gets it, which is kind of a pain because it means that whoever gets the afternoon has just done a whole bunch of tedious training for nought and is going to have to do it all over again for the afternoon stuff. Yet I still hope that's me! The kindy seems all right and manageable, and the kids ARE really cute, buuuut I don't wanna do the toothbrush and bathroom thing.

And yeah the weather's all right. I've seen a couple of ice patches and a small pile of old dirty snow on one street corner, but it's been pretty dry and mostly hovering above 0 degrees centigrade. Though I hear the rest of South Korea just got wolloped by masses of snow.

And T-J, thanks for your number! I'll give you a shout soon and take you up on that hiking trip. Cheers!

I'm interviewing with SLP later tonight, and was wondering how you guys ended up liking it after all.
