Hello everyone
I have a cricket set in Korea... if you are interested in joining me for a game, contact me. We can find any old park or open space in Seoul.
All are welcome, whether you have ever played or not. Girls are welcome too. If you just want to come watch, please do so.
Thanks,
Mac

On a side note, I saw cricket sets (the bats were ok quality for a knock around) for sale outside the foreign food shop in Itaewon last friday. I think I bought the bat for 30,000.
The shop i'm on about is the one next to where 'What the book' used to be, dunno what it's called.... |

You're a bit far away old boy. I was a dashing cricketer as a boy, some lovely stroke-play through the on side, backward cuts, lofted drives, square cuts and Ponting-esque pulls and hooks. Quite handy with the ball offering med-fast outswingers off a good lengh.
Good luck with it though, it would be nice to see a real sport other than ultimate frisbee being played by foreigners. |

Oh em gee, if I had known this I wouldn't have wasted my time and money on buying 2 sets and keeper gloves from Amazon. Thanks for that bit of info, Swinewho.
And Kurtz, get ppl together and maybe we can all have a knock where you are...... assuming you are in Korea! |

Hey folks,
I've already emailed the OP, but thought I would just draw your attention to a previous post from last week
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=200429
Aside from the league, I'm pretty keen for just a casual knock around the park. Who's in Seoul?
The WC opens in just a couple of days - there'll be afew lads up for watching games and swapping banter over the next month, so get in touch if you're keen.

As an aside, the Korean national team is currently training for an international tournament in April. If anyone is willing to train with them for kicks, or help out in anyway (volunteer), then again just fire me an email. |

It's snowing today, so we're moving today's game to Sunday. If it rains/snows, there's no game.
Sunday, 6 March, @ 3pm, Seoul Sixes Hash Cricket Club, will be having its inaugural game. (Yes, it's a lot to take in, but it is more a CRICKET club than a HASH club.)
We will be playing cricket, so the only *unning involved will be after balls and between wickets. Everyone is welcome boys, girls, dogs.
It will be by the Han, in the South, in between Hannam Bridge and Dongho Bridge. I will lay a chalk trail from Hannam bridge. Buses 421, 241A, 402, and 3011 cross Hannam Bridge. The closest subway station is Apgujeong Station exit 6. I'll lay a chalk trail from there too.
Please bring W5 000 for beer. This will also help to buy more (and better) equipment for the club stumps break and balls get smashed away. I will keep record of the players who paid so someday there will be rewards for longevity. There may be rewards for milestones reached in the game too -100 runs scored; going out for a duck.
I have created a FB event, if you werent invited and youd like to go, please find it here, just so I have a general idea of how many people to expect: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=203455806337113&pending#!/event.php?eid=203455806337113¬if_t=event_wall#wall_posts! |

There's a Facebook group, Seoul Sixes. That's more up to date than this. |
