Hello, I have been hired by a university and was just told I need to go to Japan to get an E1 visa for this year. What is the difference between the two visas? How long will this process take? Does anyone know of a ferry service that is available?

Ferry service from Busan to Fukuoka
The visa run takes 2-3 days (overnight to 2 nights depending on what time you get to the consulate.)
