and i was just wondering which will cost less, to put it on sleep mode at night and then "outing mode" for when im not at home or just turn it off?
i usually leave my place at 9am and get back at 10pm |

I you want to follow what Koreans do, then you won't turn off your heating from November to April.
The theory is that turning off the ondol completely will only cause you to burn more gas later to reheat up that thick concrete floor later.
I never use the 'sleep' or 'outing' mode. I just turn down a few degrees when I go out. |

I have a big place, 41 pyong, and I have to say that turning it on 'sleep' all the time - never changing it - really saves money. I figure we saved about 1000,000 each month during the cold spell there. Sure the place is a bit cool (keeps at about 20 ~ 23 degrees) but a sweater and slippers fixes that. |
