A few questions-
Can a new "home" bank/checking account be opened from outside of the US with minimal/no incoming fee?

If so, are there any whose representatives wont lie in your face when responding to very specific, pointed questions?

So I switched to Citibank before I left the states, believing that A) sending cash back home from a Citibank in Korea would be fee free (since, you know, the rep. I opened the account with told this to me after I asked very specifically) and B) the bank didn't charge for incoming transfers. As advertised on the website. "Free incoming transfers"

A) the Korean branch, the one I went to, told me some preposterous amount, the equivalent of $40-80 per transfer. wtf.
B) So I just asked a Citi representative some question and got the reply, that all incoming transfers were subject to $10 fee.

WTF
