Anyone know where and when you can watch a live starcraft tournament?

I've always wanted to watch a live Starcraft tournament while here.

Thanks.

there were a few threads about this..

You can start at Yongsan iPark Mall on the 9th floor. Take a Saturday and check it out- if they don't play it that day, they will have a schedule and someone there will be able to clue you in on the next live game

There are 3 other places that regularly host SC tourneys- Team Liquid had something about it on their forums..

Enjoy!

GomTV studios in mokdong if you're into SC2. Check out gomtv.net or meetup.com/sc2fans

Yep, the GOM studio is the place to go. They host the GSL finals every couple of months and the tickets are free. You can email them and reserve a seat or just show up.

I have been wondering about this for awhile but never thought to make a thread about it. I've been to SC1 tournaments but didn't realize they had them for SC2 as well. It looks like the meetup.com/sc2fans doesn't have any upcoming events...anyone know of any alternatives? I would even be down for Warcraft 3 events.

I wish that War 3 was more popular here...
Remember seeing it in 2008 as a matter of fact.. It seems that its way more popular in China and that's where they play most of the games now...

It's pretty popular here, much more so than SC2. I always see people play WC3 custom games at the PC bang I go to.

^^ I meant tournaments--

but yeah, since War 3 is free to make an account and play, naturally people will want to play it~ Please note this, Blizzard!

I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand the custom maps. Well all but Dota Very Happy

I remember back in the day you could catch matches at COEX mall. Do they still host SC matches there?

I had no idea that WC3 was free, how does that work? Didn't they also give out SC2 for free for WoW subscribers? What exactly is it about their Korean business model that allows this to work?

That sounds like it would be a dream come true, I live very close to the COEX. Anyone know?
