receive--I'm always tempted to spell it recieve.

weird--I spelled it wierd until I was in high school.

harassment--always tempted to put an extra "r" in there

possessiveness--six s's, I usually miss one

committee--two m's two t's two e's

and is it judgement or judgment?

definitely

when I spell it the way I think it should be:
difinantly
it doesn't even come with "definitely" in the spell checker. I end up with "defiantly".

hahaha - we've got the same list with exception of weird. I always seem to get that one right, lol.

I also have a recurring problem with "calendar". I often switch the e and second a.

*And also on committee above: commitment is spelled with on t, just to mess with you, lol (and also because of the rules on suffixes). But, what the heck is a "tee"?

Gotta love the English language. It keeps dictionaries in business.

Try this quiz, it's pretty hard, I got like six wrong.

http://www.businesswriting.com/tests/commonmisspelled.html

I think I never really learned how to spell some of these because spellcheck automatically corrects them for me.
