Hi guys,

I'm moving next Saturday from Ansan to Bundang. I was going to use Brandon's Moving Service, but he apparently doesn't do moving any more. I've googled like crazy and I can't find another mover. I have a few pieces of furniture, a bike, and a cat in addition to boxes, so I really do need a truck and not a taxi.

Can anyone recommend a service? Preferably that speaks English, as my Korean is no where near good enough to communicate this?

Thanks!

Can you get someone who speaks Korean to translate?

I use a guy that charges around 80,000 for your type of move, but you'll have to help him with the big pieces of furniture.

I can probably get some help, yeah. My furniture isn't very big (I can carry each piece by myself for a short distance) so that would be fine!

Bump.

Is this information still available? I'm moving from Seoul to Gwangju and need to find someone with a truck too!

Get someone Korean to check the papers. There are ads in all papers. There are one or two companies that are nationwide as well as inviduals. Please be advised that the trucks are often flat bed with a plastic cover your stuff and tied in. Its not the same as back home where they are all covered. Also, find out if they will help you bring things to your apartment. If not, you will need help.

Anyhome wanted 700,000 won to move my place. Includes 2 guys and the packing service. Yes2404 is fully booked for this week. Seems like you need to call way in advance to move out.

We used Homeplus' Modu moving service. You just ring up Homeplus and they send over an agent. He gives you a free estimate based what you show him needs to be moved. Started at 8 and finished at 12. 50K more if you want the cleaning ajumma to "clean" up before and after.
