Hello all!
How many vacation days are hagwons required by law to give teachers? The rules change too much for me to keep up!
I am in 6th year at same school, so should I get an extra day for each year I've worked there?
Any help is appreciated!

Wow - 6 years and you just now sign up for Daves. Also if I am correct the law is National Holidays and one day per month. No to the extra day per year. Really you do not know this, Come on you have got to understand Hagwons and Vacation days after six years you should know the deal. |

I think that is the law, but I believe it's negated by the fact that hagwons pay for national holidays when they don't have to by law. I may be mixing Korea up with another country though. |

OP - That was something you should have negotiated during your renewal.
I think the above poster is right about the red days and being paid for them.
However, if you've been with the school long enough, they should be willing to negotiate with you - if they value you. Even giving you some unpaid time off or something if you really want to take a vacation. |
