I've been told I take the green bus up the hill, away from Itaewon, then I have to transfer to get to Sangdo station. Can anyone get more specific? The public transportation website doesn't seem to work on my computer...

lol talk about vague directions.

Catch the 02 going uphill and get off at Sookmyung Women's University after going back down the hill on the other side. Then transfer to the subway and I think you can figure it out from there on a map.

You want to take a village bus to samgakji. At samgakji station you can take a number of buses including 750A and 750B. There is a 500 series that goes there and 751 gets there too but is longer and goes through Noryangjin.

Don't take the subway to sangdo, it is much too long and too many transfers. Unless you take the number 6 subway from noksapyeong to samgakji and then get on a bus.

Thanks, Dongjak. Much obliged. Just hope the 9:00 AM traffic isn't too crazy. This is my first 9-5 job I've had in Seoul.

If you get on a bus at samgakji, the bus runs in the bus lane all the way to the han river bridge. So basically you just have to worry about traffic going over the Han and through Sangdo tunnel.

I use to work in Sangdo and my coworker commuted from Haebongchon everday, it usually took her between 15 to 25 minutes, not bad at all.
