They're just doing right by Egypt. They hated Mubarak but they supported him because women in Egypt would be worse off without him.

Interesting to me at least how the protesters in Egypt linked with groups in other countries and how much influence the writings of Dr. Gene Sharp had on the movements. I am just getting up to speed on his teachings about non-violence but his writings are the bible of the various pro-democracy movements. Anyone read his works. or familiar with the Albert Einstein foundation?"

He's one I'd missed, but he just may be the intellectual author of many of these revolutions. As I write, the website of his organization, the Albert Einstein Institution, is down, but more can be read about him in The New York Times - "Shy U.S. Intellectual Created Playbook Used in a Revolution" and Scientific American - "Egypt's revolution vindicates Gene Sharp's theory of nonviolent activism".
