The Devil in White City. I read the first few pages ages ago, but got distracted by some other books that I ended up reading first. It's good so far.

This is the rereading thread, right?

Okay, just finished Gone with the Wind, for the last time. It's been comfort food for a long time, but this time (despite the really great story-telling aspect of it) I just couldn't justify all the "ni@@ery" references. It could have worked if it weren't clear that the author really did think that blacks were children and apes, if all those "ni@@ery" opinions were placed firmly and only in the minds of her characters.

The Queen of the South, by Arturo Perez-Reverte, a book somewhat outside his usual (brilliantly executed) genre of mystery.

And I'm in the middle of my real comfort food/take me away reading, The Lord of the Rings.

I don't generally reread non-fiction, so I'll stay mum on the non-fiction I've read recently until a thread asking for it comes up.

the URL address and I click "Refresh" every other minute, hoping that someone posted an ad for a cheap motorcycle or info on the IDL.

Wait, I'm trolling, aren't I?

Ok- John Barth's Lost in the Funhouse
I just read the first story- the musing narrator tells his sad tale as the sole remainder of his generation's swarm, a race with "long tails and a streamlined heads," swimming up and crying "Onward! Upward!" ecstatically, to the purpose of "Love," to sink into a mystified "Her" and merge into one being.

I discovered a Kindle torrent with over 900 books available, so I'm going to be a happy camper for quite some time. I'm choosing to reread The Catcher in the Rye first, one of my absolute favorite books of all time although it's been quite a while since I've read it.

Currently reading Abercrombie's The Heroes, then I have an ARC of Prince of Thorns by Lawrence to get into.
