Hi!

Ive been in Korea for three years and I need a change of scenery. However, I have USD $11,500 in student loans. While I am paying more than the minimum amount (bet USD $150-$400/month), which country would be better to pay off my loan faster?

From all accounts, one cannot save significant money in Thailand as an ESL teacher. There's just too many people who want to go and work there.

Depends where you live and what job you can get. I love Thailand and work there just to break even, but I'm sure you could find a job that was equivalent in earning potential as Korea. I spend more in Korea, too.

Stay in Korea. Pay off your student loans in a year. Bank a bit more, and then do Thailand if you're still into it.

Thailand pays on average $900 U.S. a month, which doesn't include housing, airfare, etc. So like others have said, you'll save a lot more in Korea.

You might try Japan or Taiwan if you want a change of scenery and to save up.
