I've worn bow ties for years - decades even - have almost as many bows as neckties.

Even have a few that have to be tied!

Dorothy, I get the feeling from your posts that you're rather new to Korea, and still in the "isn't this interesting" phase. The dudes in bowties look absurd. And what's worst, is it yet another manifestation of the "imitation culture" that abounds in this place. Let's despise the United States, but let's at the same time imitate it. It gets old fast.

I am newer than some people. Actually I've been here 1.5 years. I just celebrate all things people do that makes them happy so long as it isn't hurting others.
I think men's fashions can be a bit dull. Accessorizing is hot, bbs.

I don't know about this despising of the United States. Many, many of the Koreans I meet get very excited when I tell them where I am from. They either have visited or they would like to.

This would suggest that bow ties can look awesome. Unfortunately, most people end up looking like this.

2012: The Year of the Cravat. You heard it here first.

And to the OP- Dude we aren't in High School anymore, who cares?

"Dude, look at the guy in pink, what a queer."

Seriously, High School.

And btw aren't Koreans supposed to be the ones who are insecure about superficial things?
