i got my e-2 even with a list of criminal conviction records ranging from armed robbery, sexual assult, and murder.

ok, yeah, stupid question. No one is going to share the work around on a public forum. I know how people did this in the past, but now with the FBI check its impossible to do.

There is no secret. No conspiracy which your not privy too.

99.99% of people with ANY criminal marks on their CBC get denied. The others just get lucky.

You can get certain items expunged, and if you follow through with all the relevant local agencies it will get removed from your FBI check, but it will take a while.

I worked with a guy a couple of years ago who had some B&E's as a juvenile on his CRC. He was rejected on his first job, but on the 2nd, the school went in to bat for him and he got the visa. These days when there are so many applicants to choose from I doubt any school will go in to bat for you.

I know it's possible in Australia, I've been here for over two years now.

When you specify why you want the Australia-wide check, there is a box specifically there for you to tick for a foreign language instructor.

Depending on what is on your record, it's possible that some things won't be mentioned. i was found guilty of malicious damage years ago, but a special section of my good behaviour bond meant that once i made it through that period without any trouble the arrest would be excluded from my personal record. But as i found out later, depending on why you want the check, it would still show up if in some cases.

I stand corrected. There is a code for Overseas Employment/Visa and not specifically for language instruction.

There is also a code for Brothel or Escort Agency Owner/Operator/Interested party as well which proves my original point... You can have a record but it may not show up depending if you want to own a brothel or teach English

The whole point is that i didn't long time ago, but i do now as per the conditions under the Federal Crimes Act. So what i am saying is that this may be true for others, but i have no idea of the regulations in the US.
