I had an interview earlier, so I'm not quite sure what the schedule is at my current school for the first week back. So far, no schedule.

How is your schedule?

I lucked out and teach only 6th graders but 3 hours for each class per week. Will probably make up the remaining with some sort of after school lessons with the gifted kids, hopefully 4th and 5th included.

Makes life easier. I might resign in September.

been told I have no classes until next week but knowing the way things work here I know that could all change in a second .....and be thrown into a class with 5 mins to prepare something out of nothing.

First I'm told I have a certain afterschool class, then I'm told I have a different class. Then I get the schedule for my school's other, separate afterschool program and it has two conversation classes scheduled for the same days and times, so I don't know which one I'm teaching. I'm so confused right now! Confused

I don't have regular class today. I do have at least one afterschool class later, a 3rd grade class I had last semester.

No classes today, so I've been able to plan round 2 of classes. Feel super-prepped! The only thing that can go wrong now is to be told I must teach something else, but that doesn't usually happen at my school.

I have 3 Classes tomorrow, then 6 on Friday. I'm teaching mainly 5th and 6th grade with three 4th grade classes making up my 22 hours for the week.

The 5th grade now has 10 classes, so it sounds pretty good actually. I just teach each class one time a week

no schedule... had to choose for myself what age group to teach... plumped for 3rd and 4th with some 5th after school.

other than that - no syllabus, no proper timetable, cant preapre owt as i dont know anything.... im a new teacher as it is, with no knowledge of teh kids curriculum, levels, and so on....

im hoping itll be made clear tomorrow or today, but im certain that tomorrow ill be asked to teach a class... ive already asked if this will be the case but got some broken half-response about how it depends on my schedule (the schedule ive not been given yet...) so i guess ive got to learn how to wing it asap..

I got to choose my grades & set my own schedule for the year. Public middle school, opted 2nd & 3rd-year with no 9am classes, balanced days & strategic breaks.
Nice first day back. Teaching starts next week.

15 classes a week, which may rise to a whopping 18 when the after-school programs begin.

No teaching this week...which is a good thing considering I don't even have a copy of the new textbook.

I'll start teaching next week and hope for a book by then...fingers crossed! Rolling Eyes
