|
|
I've been working as a middle school English teacher since September 1st, but I think I will have to end my contract prematurely sometime in mid-May.
I was wondering if any has any insight as to how this might affect any future employment opportunities in Korea, if I were to apply again to GEPIK, EPIK, or even a hagwon?
I don't know if this has an effect, but I'm here on an E2 now, but I'll likely be obtaining an F4 for the future.
Thanks. |

Give them the old "family sickness" excuse. Koreans understand family problems, give them 30 day notice and don't make any waves on your way out of the country. You shouldn't have any problems under those conditions, at least that I've ever seen. |

my concern wasn't so much the actual resignation (i'm on good terms with all the admin + coteacher) but I meant more in terms of the ramifications of my early resignation if I wanted to (which I most likely will) return to Korea in the near future to work either for the public school or hagwon.
Like...will it be a black stain on my visa record (which I'm assuming exists?) |

Give proper notice and it is a non-issue.
In addition, you will get your deposits back.
