I'm quite certain that I won't be staying at the current hagwon I teach at now. I haven't been there too long and had to submit the whole Apostilled FBI CRC to get the visa. Now that the worm has turned and I plan to move onto what are hopefully greener pastures, what is the procedure?

The search function on Dave's boggles my mind. I even Googled it. If you cannot provide any links could you suggest an appropriate phrasing? Thanks.

I have found that the search option will only work if you put in a single word. I have just been trying to be creative with my one word to find what I am looking for and it has worked each time.

Interesting search site, much thanks. The results I got were still pretty inconclusive. I find it hard to believe that there aren't any current threads in the first 3 pages of the Job forum. I guess everybody is extremely satisfied with their job lately... lol... Smile

Changing employers at the end of your contract is now MUCH easier (in effect about the same as an extension/renewal).

Changing DURING the term of your contract is still the same (need permission from your old employer).

OK, I just got off the phone with the Immigration helpline. This is what I've understood from the conversation.

* If I resign I have to do another visa run.

* If I quit the school has to cancel my current visa within 15 days after which I can get a new visa via another visa run.

The long and the short of it is that once K-Immi has your FBI CRC you don't need to resubmit it?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

bumping this one because it is pretty important...

if someone can verify what I took away from my chat with K-Immi that'd be great...

it's hard to believe that if I quit my school has to cancel my visa within 15 days after which I can find another school without having to resubmit the FBI CBC, diploma, etc. it just seems to good to be true. it actually seems logical and humane.
