| Is it now necessary to make an appointment to get an ARC at the Seoul Mokdong immigration office? There doesn't seem to be any way to make an appointment at the website, as an ARC number is required to log in! |

No, it just makes it easier and faster.
You can just show up and wait an hour....the line is long....especially in Seoul. |

| nope was there last week, no appointment. Go a bit earlier to avoid the lines. I was in and out of immigration in less than 20 mins to renew a visa. |

| Thanks for your replies, everyone. I had heard that this was going to change and that from March appointments would be needed, but I can't find any official word on this. |
