Hey, I finally made it to Korea. ^_^

But I need a little help getting around.

Currently I'm living in Iksan at the moment and I have some questions for fellow or past Iksan residents.

I've been walking about and don't live too far from the Emart and Iksan Station about a 10 minute walk or so.

What I am looking for is a really good gym in the area that's not too terribly priced and has a decent weight set and clean showers.
Also if anyone has any idea about some good dressmakers/tailors in the area or in even in Jeonju that would help a whole lot.

As I live in Iksan is it worth it to make the trip to the nearest Costco every 2 weeks to 1 month? (Daejeon I believe)
The E-mart and everything here is very expensive and I'm trying to maximize my earnings.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful or any other observations and insight about my home city?

Hello! Welcome to Iksan Smile

I am in Iksan too, but I don't think I can be of much help because I live in a different area (young deung dong). My husband goes to a really good gym, but I am not sure if it would be too far away from you.

Depending on what you are looking for Costco would probably be a good place for you to stock up on supplies. You can also try nicedeli.com if you don't want to make the trip, they deliver.

To get more direct answers to your questions try the Iksan Foreigners Association group on facebook. If you have any other questions feel free to message me.

Thx. Smile
I joined the group you mentioned on FB.

I can't PM yet, I don't have enough posts to my name.

But I don't mind traveling for a good gym, so if you could get me the name of the place, address and what not that'd be awesome.

I'm trying to get into killer shape for a wedding. ^_^

How long have you been in Iksan?

The name of the gym is Han Sungs Sports Centre. I am not sure of the address right now, but I will get it to you tomorrow.

There is also an all female gym (Shiz Gym) and Hot Yoga studio (the hot yoga is good) in Yeoung Deung Dong across the road from Baskin Robbins (on the main road where Lotte Mart and Home Plus are).

I have been in Iksan for one year, and plan on staying another year. I can always add you to facebook if you have anymore questions Smile

Thanks!

Facebook would be a better way to communicate. Are you already a part of the Iksan Foreigners Association, too?
