Hi,

I want to build a website. I tried making one through DreamWeaver, but everything too messed up. I leanred a bit how to do it, but what I am looking for is for someone to make a base foundation where I can add and edit information.

Are there places in Seoul that can do that? Where can I go, and approximately how much does it cost?

It might be helpful to list some of your requirements and what you intend to do. Otherwise it's gonna be hard for people to give you a price range.

Why dont u try something like DRUPAL or JOOMLA. You can start with a preconfigured website and u just need to start editing the content to get what u want. Ofcoz, u will have to be a little patient and read a book or online tutorial to get a hang of it.

They basically give u a framework on top of which u can build ur site. No need to start from scratch.

Check MOODLE. Its for educational content based website.

I think it depends on what you need the site for. Is it for your business? Then, I recommend going to a professional.

If not, then it seems like Wordpress might work. I tend to like Wordpress as a CMS better than Drupal or Joomla.

i suggest wordpress and buying a theme at http://themeforest.net/ . they have great selections even for a company theme.

I second Wordpress. Easiest way to set up a frequently updated website ever.

You don't even need to buy templates. The latest version's free one is actually pretty awesome. And there are many many decent free themes as well.

The OP needs to explain the requirements of the website..

Joomla and DRUPAL have a big learning curve for a newb, especially if they don't require the kind of flexibility offered by those platforms.

As above, except I'd recommend Joomla if you need anything more than basic informational articles/posts - Or if you're potentially going to want to add other functionality in the future. Wordpress is easier to get started with and fine for relatively simple blog/info sites... but Joomla is infinitely better in terms of the potential of what you can do with it, if you have the time and ability to learn how.

For hosting, check out www.kvcwebhosting.com - their free web hosting 'C' package costs a one-time $20 setup fee for lifetime hosting, and should have enough capacity to be fine unless your site will be extremely image/graphics-heavy... You'll then just pay about $8 a year for your URL address.

I paid 600,000 for my boxing website to be set-up. It's a pretty simple design, but that's what I wanted. I just supplied pics, videos, text and the designer did the rest.

Artisteer is a fantastic template design program which lets you create your own custom theme/template/look for your site. It's VERY easy to use, and you can customize basically everything about the site. Once you have it how you want it, you can then export the template as a file for Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal or whatever content management system you're using.

Honestly, you would probably spend more time searching the internet for a template you like than it would take to build your own using Artisteer. I really can't see any reason to waste your money on a commercial template, buy this instead and make your own!

I want to make a slider on top of my word press... where they can click on the pictures of lets say.. "chigae, meats, veggies, rice". Is that possible on wordpress or I will need to find another hosting site.

Want to make it look nice and elegant.
