Hey NYC gal, do you mind me asking how much you sold your ipad for? I'm looking to get a used 64gig and I'm wondering how much they're going for these days. |

Only Apple can get away with the bare minimum upgrade and still get people to drool all over it.

How is it a bare minimum upgrade? If it were a PC, and I upgraded it from a single to a dual core processor, put in a video card thats 9x's more powerful than the current one, then I would consider that a major upgrade.
since its a Tablet, lets see whats improved:
front camera
rear camera that shoots HD video
9x's the graphics power
dual core
thinner, lighter, more powerful with same amount of battery life
Dock connector allowing 1080p viewing on an HDTV
All that for the same price as the iPad 1. Pretty significant upgrade to me. |

| I think zealous Apple haters like to forget that a tablet is not a PC or a laptop. It's a mobile device supposed to fill a gap between a smartphone which is too small for media consumption or even gaming, and a laptop. It's not supposed to replace laptops or smart phones. I wonder when Korea will actually get it...i really hope it's not months later while Samsung tries to make their Galaxy Tab 2... |

| I'd be in if it had an SD slot... probably won't be able to afford the 128Gb anytime soon and 64Gb will fill up too fast. |

hate to ask a stupid question, but...
how is wifi in s. korea (i know this probably varies based on each city/town...just looking for a general idea of wifi availability, speed, etc.)? i'm planning on moving to s. korea by August and think it'd be great to have an iPad 2 while i'm there. do you all think it will perform well? for those of you with the iPad, have you been pleased with its performance over wifi there?
again, sorry to post a stupid question but before I invest the money in one of these I'd like to have a good idea of how it will perform in korea.
thanks! |

I sold it for 500k. I could have held out for closer to 600k (I had offers after), but I wanted to sell it quickly and easily. It came with the thick, cushioned, leather case, rather than the slim one, as well as one more year of warranty. |

I would probably buy this instead of a Laptop if I needed a new laptop. I mostly use my laptop for surfing, reading and watching films while travelling, so it could easily be replaced by an iPad (although I am not at all satisfied with how iPhones handles vidoes, do you still have to find your own converter and use iTunes to watch a video clip?)
In other words, sometime in the future I will probably be using tablet+desktop computer, but not quite yet. |

| The Apple Korea website has been updated with the iPad 2 info but someone with better Korean reading skills can maybe figure out if there's a release date somewhere in there. |

From my experience with the Ipad in Korea, I found that I can usually find a decent wifi connection in most places like coffee shops. Usually the coverage is much better for wifi zones that you have to pay for. You may need to search through a few pay connections before finding a free one. I find the speed isn't always great, but usually good enough for average internet browsing on the Ipad. |

No release date. Also you're better off keeping an eye on the KT Show website instead. |
