|
|
I've applied for a position that I originally thought I had not shot at getting. I had an interview today and it went fairly well. Near the end he told me he would like me to write an essay (short or long) about my dreams. I think his exact words were (a story about your dream).
Can I take this as meaning the same thing as 'what are your goals?'
Do you have any advice on how I can answer this? Should I mention I want to pursue a masters in education?
Any advice is appreciated.
Also, this is for a position outside of korea (japan) |

Tell them your dream is to teach Korean children English. You've went to university solely for the purpose of satisfying Kimmi regulations. Further, you consider the Korean system of language acquisition to be the pinnacle of language learning. |

Tell them what you really dream about: Swimming in frosting and the blood of 1000 chimpanzees. |

I would agree that they want to know your goals. If you mention that you want to pursue a masters in education they may draw that you are motivated and passionate about teaching. All jokes aside you may also want to say something about how you're interested in 'discovering' their country and culture. Best of luck! |

Thanks for the responses everyone... especially PTI.
Wrote the letter and told them about my dream of eating Kimchi with my under aged female students in the privacy of my own home.
Kidding, of course. |

I had a dream last night that I had used the last piece of toilet roll. Today, after having a morning 'log out', that very same scenario occurred for real. It's reassuring to know, that in this time of misery and uncertainty, dreams do sometimes come true. |
