Just passing it along for the benefit of people who were thinking about going. The festival celebrates the outgoing tides between two islands in Jindo county that allow people to walk the 2.8 kilometers between them a couple times a year. The festival was scheduled for March but has been cancelled because of foot-and-mouth disease concerns.

News came out a couple weeks ago, but several articles are still talking about the festival as if it's still going to take place.

Several other March festivals in Jeollanam-do cancelled as well.

Me n some friends were thinking about going up anyway. Will still get to see the sea parting, and with no festival we won't have to deal with crowds.

Or will they restrict access to the area since there is no festival?
