Most likely I'll be moving to Korea in late April... right in the middle of the NBA playoffs. Since NO games are televised here in Thailand and the internet is sh** everywhere, I haven't seen a live game in two years.

I CANNOT wait to see this years NBA playoffs but I'm wondering what my options are. Ideally I want to watch it in my apartment on my TV. I do not want to stream it from a program like Sopcast because I've never had luck and because my screen is 10" big.

Do the cable companies offer a sports package? Do sports bars show NBA games?

Also, if there is an NFL season this year, do they have a package for that? |

sam ryans and rocky mountain tavern will be showing them not necc live though. check justin.tv for games online. when it gets late in the playoffs (like conf finals and finals) sbs/espn or another channel will show them.

also check nba.com to see if they will offer a streaming package

in regards to the nfl, sam ryans and rmt are again the main bars that show games on a delay basis. for live streams you can shell out $300 or so for nfl game pass which will give you every game live in hd and an archive plus nfl network 24/7. i would add phillies in hbc as another place but they closed sat nite and am not sure of their future |

Yeah, Sam Ryan's is pretty cool about playing stuff on request, provided all the Canadians can handle missing a regular season game. I had few problems watching the Celtics eventually break my heart last year.

I also noticed the finals are available to download (as torrents) maybe six or eight hours after they end, with tons of seeders. So if you want to watch them at home after work, you could try that route. Not sure that happens for the previous rounds, but I did that for some of the finals last year, as spending twenty or thirty bucks just to watch a sporting event can get old. |
