I will eat their hearts to improve my own capacity to care for others. |

that's kind of a ridiculous study.
they studied hens and their chicks. they ruffled the chicks with air puffs which caused chicks to be in distress, and the hens also felt distress. but come on, that's mama bear instincts coming into play. protect your young. |

I don't care even if chickens start writing memoirs. As long as fried chicken tastes that good, they're just food to me. |

Domestic chickens display signs of empathy, the ability to ''feel another's pain'' that is at the heart of compassion, a study has found. |
Empathy is inextricable from self interest, in other words. Delve into the motivations of any instance of empathy and you will find naught but a self interested solipsist. |

Well that's made my decision. I'm going to eat more of the little buggers from now on. I'll be asking for extra solipsism with my fried 양념 chicken. |

Hopefully they will feel my hunger pains and understand why they are lunch. |

My family raised some chickens when I was younger. We had one that had a bit of a personality. We called her "Lucy" because she was the only one who could get loose from their pen in the barn. The rest were nothing but egg-laying, eat-sleep-poop machines. |

I don't care. You would have to be a new age pus sy or something to care? I don't go and buy live chickens stare at them and then kill them. I just buy fresh chicken from the butcher or get it at a restaurant.
The only reason why I would EVER think twice about eating chicken is if it doesn't look fully cooked! |

Through Darwinian means, humans have earned their elevated position in the food chain. However, I think lines should be drawn and we need to be more selective. Any creature on the endangered species list should be spared, and I don't think that we're facing a chicken shortage just yet. |

One too many blows to the head?
He was saying he doesn't care if chickens feel empathy. He illustrated this by saying he likes the feeling of 산낙지 wiggling around in his mouth.
If you're going to try and embarrass/correct someone...make sure it isn't yourself.
Utter comedy. |

I only eat animals to spite them anyways, so this is good news for me. |
