we ship out the packages at about 6~7 in the evening when it's cooler and they arrive within 24hrs, we increase the amount of ice according to the weather and rarely get complaints of the food not being cool when it arrives, only happened once this year, we didn't realize a customer was on an island and it took an extra day (even then it still wasn't warm).

We also separate the cold items from the room temperature or dry goods so they don't cool down the perishables, hope that sets your mind at ease!

Sweet. One more thing. I live in the south of the country. Is it still 24 hour delivery?

It would be nice if the weight of the items were indicated too. I'm sure it's decent portions, but it's hard to know if "Frozen Strawberries" for 7000 won is cheap or expensive when you don't know how much it is.

I'm very tempted to buy some Jarlsberg when I run out of cheese. It's quite reasonably priced, and very good, even though it's spelled wrong on the webpage Razz (Jarlsburg)

Thanks for pointing out the spelling mistake! If you click on a product you can see the weight and other details: http://nicedeli.com/main/node/546 (strawberries-1000g)

It is 24hrs (from the time we send it) to almost everywhere, except the remote islands which require a ferry to be taken. I haven't heard of any delays from our customers who live in the country/mountain side yet, and some are way out there.

Thanks~

Any chance on adding some gluten-free products (bread, pasta, etc.)? I have a hell of a time finding anything gluten free here. Thanks!

Is it cheaper to buy the deli meat from suji's directly or is it the same price as what's sold at costsco?

Checked out the site, but it looks like Nicedeli costs more than Costco. Unless the price of turkey went up. Hmmmm

I think that it's well known that this group's stuff is basically repackaged Costco stuff.

I really wish people would take a look around our site before posting statements which are not an accurate reflection of our site or the hard work we do sourcing over 900 products from over 12 different suppliers. Yes we sell Costco items (read earlier posts in this thread), WE DO NOT repackage them. We actually have 13 non-Costco European styled deli meats and sausages which are quite nice and IMHO much tastier than Hormel.

Just at a glance: None of our appliances come from CC, only 2 out of 58 baking items come from there, 47 Indian food items none of which are from CC, fresh herbs=not CC, 43* SE Asian= not CC...our beverage section contains a lot of CC but still less than 50%...

Bottom line if CC packed up and left Korea tomorrow we'd still be in business, as those who know us well know we started this business before CC showed up in our neck of the woods. If you take a look around the site you may be pleasantly surprised how varied our selection actually is Wink

Sorry but we've not been able to find a local supplier for gluten free stuff, although we will keep looking!

Thanks for your comments and feedback~

Nice Deli

It's not repackaged. They use a few different sources besides Costco. They deliver, though, making life a heck of a lot easier for many.

Dear Valued Customers,

Nice Deli and its associates are proud to announce some big changes to our site! Nice Deli will no longer be the flag ship brand for the largest online foreign shopping network in Korea. Over the past year we have expanded our product line so extensively that we no longer felt Nice Deli best represented the services and products we are offering. We have now grown to offer you even more products and services through an exciting new online marketplace called NiceMarket.net.

We have connected with several other Korean and Foreign based businesses to bring you more products and help offer a wider and more dynamic shopping experience. Some of the key changes are:
New improved website. We upgraded our server, which means faster surfing and shopping and an upgraded website means easier to find products, clearer pricing and tools to help us organize your order more efficiently.

New products like CDs from prominent Foreign & Local artists, clothing and accessories, magazines to help keep you informed, an all natural cosmetics line, outdoor /camping and recreational gear and much more.

We now have a secure server to accompany our acceptance of credit cards on our site to speed up order transaction times. Customers can now pay safely and securely via Paypal right on our site!

Banner ads to offer you even more interesting options and services for life in Korea.

Live help! You can now chat with one of us via Google Chat to get quick help and fast answers to your questions.

We have hired on new staff to help with increased orders and customers.

Coming soon 2 delivery days per week!TBA more scheduled delivery times, this means you get the goods you want when you want them!
The Nice Deli name you have come to know and trust will still remain with our deli products and the primary food shopping service you have come to love will now be known as nicegrocery.com. The Nice Market site will now host all of these shops under one roof, delivering to you high quality products and making it easy and convenient to buy. We also moved all our customer accounts (registered before May 19th)to the new server so you should be able to simply login and continue shopping as usual, in some cases you may have to request a new password or create a new account, sorry.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our services so please be sure to visit our facebook page and let us know what we can do to make it better and to show your support. We are continuously looking for new products and ideas so if you have a small business or are the creator of a unique line of products contact us about selling your product through our shop or advertise on our site and get the attention of thousands of visitors to our site each month.

Lastly we would like to extend a very warm welcome to the newest members of our Nice Market Team; Chris Peters and Minji Kim! Chris and Minji are important partners in the expansion of Nice Market and in keeping with our high quality of customer service. A big welcome as well to our new part time employees and a huge thank you to our account Tony Shin and IT guy Edgard Durand.

We look forward to continue serving you and hope you like the new site!

Sincerely

Scott McMaster & Paul Ostrowski
