All true, and all entirely irrelevant as to whether Kim Il Song invaded the South. |
If you knew even the tiniest bit about Kim, you would understand why these facts are entirely relevant. If you can't see the very obvious connections between what you affirmed to be true and Kim coming on down, there's not much I can do for you. |

No, no, please come down into the cave and enlighten me so I can see what you see.
You must be patient with us deluded fools, what with our tedious demands for evidence and links. We are a backwards lot, and thus, I ask for you to condescend to our ways, since we cannot approach your heights of understanding unaided. |

Sorry Kuro, I already pointed out the source, if you can't do the follow-up, tough beans. I mean, you have been potty-trained, haven't you? Obviously it's a contentious topic which threatens to contradict what we've all been led to believe, so a few links and typed statements doesn't lay out the whole issue properly. Unfortunately, not everything can be had from an ESL website. If a genuine spark of inquiry does motivate your search for knowledge on this topic, before you know it you'll be onto some of the relevant material. |

Sure, you want to look at it in your typical very narrow, kindergarten way (and if it really means that much to you), go ahead, take a victory lap in your imaginary Colliseum. The thing is, in a situation where you have someone unable to rise above what he's been fed by (those who are then empowered to become) the authors of his existence because of his cowardice/prejudice/inability to objectively research on his own (even when given a source), I think it becomes apparent who the loser is. |

| You are the one making the argument, you are the one with the onus to provide research. I'm not going to waste my time looking for material to back up a crappy paranoid argument. You have the burden of proof, which you have obviously failed to deliver on. Move along. |

When you wrote an essay in University did you just write the bibliography?
Your inablity to defend your position is hilarious. |

When you wrote your brilliant essays, did you actually bother to do any research? Look, you guys have taken up far too much of my time, and obviously depend way too much on the "whoever wins the petty argument on the all-important ESL chat board is the sh**t" for your self-esteem. It's a complicated issue that is laid out with numerous references to official US military and other assorted documents over 444 pages, in voume 1 alone. Anyone who is genuinely interested to get to the bottom of why in fact it was the US military gov't's actions in 1945-1950 which led to massive ROK civilian revolt and the outbreak of war can read up on it, and will then understand that it's something too complex to do justice to here. But seriously, judging from both of your posts, you guys obviously aren't ready to handle anything which contradicts your upbringing and what you've been fed by your schooling and the mass media. Your objective is apparently just to lash out at anything which you can't get your puny brains around. Sorry, fellas, can't help you 'till you grow a couple and face up to why you are unable to function in a semi-intelligent manner. |

Sounds more like you cannot articulate your argument.

Alright, Catman, spawn of Gollum, now that I have a bit of time- actually I did articulate my point earlier in this thread. It's based on the fact that the US military gov't reinstated the pro-Jpn collaborators who had profited during the Japanese occupation of 1910-1945 by helping the Japanese to suppress their fellow countrymen. This didn't sit well with ROK citizens, causing numerous protests and demonstrations which were brutally put down by a combination of US military, aforementioned pro-Jpn collaborators, as well as Jpn staff who were kept on by the US military gov't, leading to an escalation of conflicts which resulted in the outbreak of the Korean war. This is documented in official US memos. The end. |

| I find it funny that his source is a book that almost everyone here has read...yet somehow we're ignorant when we show how the author has been disproved. |

You guys aren't in the same league as the author. Actually, not even in the same solar system. You would be made into hash and served to stray dogs in a derelict alley if you ever had to face him or anyone with real information in a seminar discussion. |
