Today, I called the Immi hotline and was told that CBC and Degree notarizing would be waived providing:
* you are re-signing with same school
* have not had these requirements waived before (this would include anyone re-signing in August or before of this year).
The problem is that the woman's English is not the best and she used words like "maybe," "should," "probably." I realize these kinds of words are common in Korean "to soften the language" but it only adds doubt in English.
It looks like September 2011 is when the full rules get implemented.
Can someone confirm this? |

| It all depends on the agent you get when you are at the immi office to make the transaction. You are at their whim. They can ask for anything and you have to provide it. There is a disclaimer when you call 1345 that is played before you speak to an agent. Basically, it says that the information line is a guide only and agents can change, adapt, request additional, etc. and it's all on a case-by-case basis. The one consistent thing about korean immi is that they arent consistent. |
