I just got my visa number. Recruiter says I need a college transcript for the Korean consulate. But I thought they did away with that. Is this true or is her info outdated?

I think it varies for each consulate. Some want it, others don't. It's probably best to call/email the consulate you intend to go to for the E-2.

K-immi no longer requires them but in Canada the consulates do require them.

I don't know about the other "6" countries. They are NOT needed in Japan or other Asian consulates when you do a visa run.

On the Korean Consulate E2 website, this is what it states...
=========================
Teaching Foreign Languages

-(E-2) Certificate of academic degree(Diploma)
-Employment contract
-Document regarding establishment of school or organization
-Letter of personal reference notarized
-Criminal Record(Attatched Apostille) Effective January 1, 2011, the criminal record issued by FBI will be only accepted.
-Applicant's Health Statement[]
-Transcript Certified
==========================

I wonder why they didn't state that they want the degree (attached apostille)?
