Can anyone tell me if these parts below will have no problems? First time building a pc and just want to make sure that they will not have any connecting problems (such as the RAM and if the mobo will fit the case)

if you dont want to look at the links, ill summarize them!

[G.SKILL] DDR3 4G PC3-10600 HK (2Gx2)
[AMD] 페넘II-X4 955
[GIGABYTE] GA-880GM-UD2H
[WD] 500GB Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX (SATA6Gbps/7200/16M)
[LG] Super-Multi GH-24NS70
[GIGABYTE] PoweRock 500W 80Plus
[GIGABYTE] GTX460 SE UDV D5 1GB WINDFORCE 2X or 6850 1gb (but im leaning towards the 460)
[Antec] Two hundred (case)

Also will the power supply be enough (500W 80plus) for the GTX 460 1gb?

Does anyone know of a place in Seoul that buys Laptops? Not broken ones but fully functional and relatively new ones. Or am I limited to craigslist and possibly here? Very Happy

Specs of the laptop are i5 (quad @ 2.27ghz), 4GB, 300GB, 1600x900, 17.3inches, and only had it for 6 months and is it perfect condition!

The specs looks good. Just confirm on the mobo if it'll take the ram speed. 500watt PSU should be good enough unless you're planning to overclock it over course.

With the laptop, you can check out yongsan at one of those used laptop shops and see what they'll offer you. Or you can ask one of your korean friends to post it on danawa.com in the users market section.

You can't be serious. Then why even have a message board, let's just all start our own new threads instead of keeping relevant things in one topic Laughing

I'd rather do that than wade through 15 pages of replies that are useless to me. This thread gets answered, it dies. No harm done. If people don't want to help, thats fine, but I sympathize with anyone who doesn't want to waste hours sifting through posts that probably won't answer their question.

My opinion might very well be different if there was an effective search function.

Never really understood the culture of thread unity here. In this very forum we have a 50+ page thread about that galaxy s. There are many different aspects about the galaxy (apps, software updates, troubleshooting etc.); why those don't get their own threads is beyond me.

I have to say I agree........big long threads aren't much use when you have a specific question. In saying that, the answers people want could well be in the long thread and reading the whole thread might also give a lot of useful background info.

But, if you just want to ask a quick question, new threads might be more user-friendly.

Also, the Tech Forum can look more lively with more single-issue threads........I know I don't mind answering repeat questions if I have time........and I usually have lots of time! Except for about 8 weeks per year...

1. You don't have to sift through information because it's probably not relevant for your particular situation. However, the topic of the thread is on building PCs and it makes sense to ask in there. It's not Dave's that has "thread unity" it's pretty much every message board on the internet.

2. For searching use google. In the search bar type:

Definitely check your MOBO. I am stuck to one card solutions unless I switch to Radeon because the UD3R only supports crossfirex....why oh why I will never know.

Most forums I've been a part of have different threads for different topics, not single threads for supertopics.

Thanks for the google advice, it will save me some time around here.
