I'm teaching in Gwangju and have been given a one-to-one class with a very shy high beginner. I've used trading card games in one-to-one lessons with children before and have found it can be really helpful for earning trust and establishing a link between student/teacher.

However...I don't have any trading cards and I don't know where to get them in English (short of eBay and it's a small fortune to ship a bunch of cards). If anyone has some old English trading cards (I used pokemon before, but I'm open to whatever so long as it's not too difficult and/or mature (like MTG) as it will be used with a child). I'm willing to pay any reasonable amount (not looking for 'rares' or collector cards here, just enough to build a few decks) as well as shipping.

I have THOUSANDS of english (mainly)/korean/japanese pokemon cards and a bunch of korean yu gi oh cards I used to break my students out of their shells. I'm talkin' the original stuff. I also have the original pokemon in English for the gameboy and I have a gameboy color and an original gameboy somewhere. this stuff is perfect as an icebreaker for kids. what kind of stuff are you looking for? obviously the rarer/shinier cards are worth more...

oh and I also have thousands of magic cards but koreans have never heard of it.... so yeah it's useless.

I can do some pre built decks if you need some.

Though now I'm going off on a tangent, I never in a million years would have imagined I'd end up willingly wanting to sell my cards or give them away to my students... my, how times have changed.
