Hello,
I am moving to MokDong in May and was just wondering how far the Avalon school is from the subway station? if anyone knows, please help...thanks

A little over a block. Maybe a 5 - 10 minute walk.

It's pretty near three subway stations. It's about a 5-8 minute walk to Simjeongnaegori 신정네거리 station. It's about 12-15 minutes from Sinjeong 신정 station. it's about 5-8 minute walk to Mokdong 목동 station. I live right near there and walk past a few times a week.

The Avalon school puts their teachers up in apartments closer to Sinjeong and Sinjeongnaegori stations. I know because I walk past them on my way home when they are just going to work.

As the above poster said, there are 2 or 3 stations close by. I used to work at a hagwon behind and lived pretty much Avalon. From Mokdong station, take exit 7 and walk 3-400m to the big GS gas station on the corner. From here, turn right and keep walking. You will see Avalon on the opposite side of the road after about 500m or so. Cross the road and you're there!

I just found it on Daum Maps and used their measurement tool. It's about 790 meters from Shinchung Station and about 850 meters from Mokdong Station.

since a few of you clearly live/lived in MokDong, does anyone know of a good gym w/ a swimming pool in the area? and if the apartments for Avalon teachers are nice/modern? any advice would be awesome!
