Is there a law that says payment should be made before a weekend or holiday if the payday should happen to fall during these times or is it legal to pay the day(s) afterwards?

Thanks

Most contracts include information about it - mine specifically states that I'll get paid the day before, and I know that EPIK contracts also say the same thing. Not really a legal issue, I don't think. Just depends on how your accounting department operates. Have you asked them if you have the option of changing it?

Nope. It just says on a fixed date each month.

Gepik pays the day before.

The first crapwon that I ever worked for paid the day before.

If you are not paid the day before, you should go ahead and ask your employer to do this. Present it like it's one less thing that he or she will have to do during his or her busy weekend. That way, I won't have to loan you money or listen to you kvetch about not getting paid until Sunday when it's Friday night and we should be having fun.

Sometimes the Friday and sometimes the Monday after the weekend. Most Hagwons will go for the Monday. If you are worried just ask your boss or teacher or who ever handles the money.
