I'm new here and am teaching very near Pyeongtaek. Where do I go to hang out with other foreigners? I mean, besides hanging out around Camp Humphrey. I'm a lady dammit, and am not ready to ho it up yet.

I'm in Paengsong/Anjeong-ri area.

I can't hang out this weekend because I'm going to Seoul to run some errands. But keep me posted for other things! Sometimes I just want to hear a continuous stream of English.

Anjung-ri is a ghost town compared to what it was in 2006. I was stationed at Humphreys in 06/07, and when i came back last year i went down there for a visit because i had some friends in the area. I was very surprised at how dead the entire area was. However, you live close enough to the base to get some decent western food so that's a plus.

It seems like there's a lot of construction going on right now, which the locals are pissed about. The Korean govt used eminent domain to take a bunch of farmland for the Humphreys expansion. I'm interested in checking the restaurants out one of these days.

I'm moving to Pyeongtaek this weekend (mid-Jan 2012). Are either of you still living there? Is there anyway anyone will notice this reply a year later?
