Five months is long enough that you really should see a doctor. I personally would want the peace of mind, but if you insist on treating yourself, stay on that antibiotic for the full course and take it with some kind of food as long as it isn't dairy. The tetracyclines are really hard on empty stomachs. I can't keep them down with or without food.

Hold on cyui. If want to play the blame game, its 99% likely that she passed it to him. Not the other way round.

Usually women don't realise they have it because chlamydia often does not produce noticeable symptoms in women. They can unwittingly pass it around for years until some guy is decent enough to tell them "excuse me but you have chlamydia".

if a guy catches it he should know within days. That feeling of passing razor blades is pretty hard to ignore.

I've had to inform former partners before of their condition. Its annoying because a lot, even most, women have it. And they rarely get it fixed... because it rarely causes them any discomfort.

you can find out which antibiotics are used on google, and you can also find out the dosages needed.

Wow that is the worst possible advice. Yeah sure google your disease and self medicate, that always works out.

Also, pharmacies will always hand out prescription antibiotics over the counter if you bring a print out of your google search result.

"Eh look, I googled this and google MD tells me I need 2 weeks of antibiotics"

No blame game here. Just read the facts and then made an opinion about the situation at hand.

At any rate, it should all teach us a valuable lesson about condom usage.

Stiill why someone would post something like this to make such a point on here is beyond me..
