Any ideas - I know Amazon UK will not ship one to Korea - they will generally only ship books |

I am surprised people are saying they got theirs so quickly. My colleague bought one and he had trouble with customs. It took a couple extra days, over a week for sure. Anyway, he bought it on Amazon. Price went down recently too. |

Maybe he got the 3G model, which is $189. This would be over the $150 limit that customs looks for. The other model, without 3G, is $139. |

I got the 3g model and a fancy case. I had a customs deposit that was charged at my purchase time that was around 40k. I still got it within 5 days. |

Yes, but you bought it from here right? (gmarket or something) I am talking about buying it directly from amazon |

Strange.... I just tried to order one with a Seoul address and got denied. "cannot be shipped to the selected address." |

I got my mine directly from Amazon's U.S website. It was delivered to my school within a few days...and I got a fancy case...and had to pay customs...but that only held it up for a few hours. It was incredibly fast...ordered on Thursday, and at my school on Saturday.
Oh...and it's the best thing I've ever spent money on...including women and booze. |

Just FYI, I bought an iPad (last year when they were first released in the States) off of ebay and had it shipped to me here in Seoul. IPad has a free kindle app that you can download and then enjoy all the books you like. You can also download the iBooks app and a Nook app so it has a lot of possibilities. |
