I did I search for this school and haven't found any information on it. I got offered a position here and they want me to start in two weeks! This is my very first job in Korea so I'm not sure how to research them and see how good of a school it is. It is a public school position. I went through Korvia and my recruiter was Jane Seo, she has been great so far... i just hope she is setting me up with a good school. |

I had a really bad experience with Uiwang city BOE after being placed in an elementary school. Check that you are not the first foreign teacher they've ever had, don't let them try to violate your contract, and make it clear that you are there to teach-no weekend mountain climbing trips, no weekend Buddhist temple retreats, etc.
Not that I have anything against Buddhist temple retreats, but it should have been voluntary. And not arranged to "familiarize you with Korean culture" by someone who thought Buddha was born in America. |

Wow, I'll be sure they don't violate the contract. I've read over it quite a few times so I have a good grasp on what it says. I hard that forcing teachers to work on the weekends has always been a common theme in Korea. I'm pretty sure there are other foreigners working there with me. My recruiter is supposed to be sending me their contact information so I can speak to them about the school. |

Hey did you end up accepting the job at this school? I just had an interview with this school and I was connected to them through Korvia as well. Not sure if they'll accept me but would still like to know some information about them if you have any. Thanks in advance |
