As the title shows, F1 season starts at the end of the month.
I'm pretty sure I could watch the broadcast on my TV but I'm assuming its going to be in Korean.
Now I could watch it Korean and be frustrated, but i'd much rather prefer the soothing voices of the BBC commentary team.

Does anyone know if they will show it anywhere on TV in english (doubt it).
If not, how about a website? Last year I failed to find any on the internet and had to read the play by play (kill me).
I am not going through that crap again so please help me if you can Smile

I suggest downloading the races. The quality is fantastic and the BBC rips are always available. Watching online is unreliable and the quality is awful.

The races can be found on torrent sites (Pirate Bay or Torrentz.eu) approximately 12 hours after the race ends. I keep myself in media blackout for all of Monday and then watch the race that evening.

The BBC pre-race commentary alone makes it worth the wait.

If you have a cable subscription, you might be able to pay a little extra (maybe 5,000 a month) to get Star Sports. They show F1 with English commentary, although I don't think it's BBC. The only problem is that the image quality is surprisingly bad.

For that price, you might also get some other additional channels like BBC World, Australia Network, etc.

Don't bother with Star Sports, the quality is terrible and so is the commentary. You won't find the race on any other stations because networks are only given the rights to broadcast in their own jurisdiction.
Thus, BBC only airs the races on BBC One in the UK and not overseas on BBC World.

I just had a look at the 2011 F1 Wiki page for broadcasters and South Korea wasn't listed so looks like no Korean broadcast of F1 races.

I can find only one site on Pirate Bay. It's in Swedish and only worked fractionally. Any ideas?

Yeah, and i've only got 5 gigs to play around with so i can't afford too much trial and error.

I thought it sounded like Finnish, or at least like Keke Rosberg. .

Thanks Forest.

The one I found is 4.24 gigs however. I'm using thepiratebay only. Do you suggest I try another torrent site? Would I need an invite etc?

Thepirate bay needed no invite and the simplicity therefore appealed.

The way things are going so far I'm not going to be seeing much F1 from the comfort of my PC chair.
