Where exactly is the expiration date on the card? I have three dates on mine. On the front I have June 1, 2011 and June 10, 2010. On the bank I have June 10, 2011.
When exactly does my card expire? A year form the date on the back or June 1, 2011?
Finally, if my contract expires the same day as my ARC, can I possibly extend my ARC to look for another job? I cannot get a LOR, so I need to stay the course on my contract. |

Your ARC expires on the last date amended by immigration (from your description that would be June, 10, 2011 (the date on the back ?).
As to extending your ARC to transfer, find a job that ends within 30 days of the end your current contract and extend during the last week of your ARC (no LOR needed).

If the date the ARC expires is a year from the date on the back, then what do the two dates on the front of the card mean?

You mean find a job that starts within 30 days, right? |

Actually, the date on the back is June 11, 2010.
The two dates on the front are June 14, 2010 on the top and June 1, 2011 on the bottom... what do these dates mean? And which date is the one that marks my ARC expiration. |

I almost made my own thread, but this is simliar.
I've been here for two years. I started my first contract with my school May 25th 2009. I then renewed at the same school for a second year. So my second contract started May 25th 2010, and is now ending soon on May 25th 2011. Recognize a pattern of 25's here? When I got my ARC extension they stamped on the back, April 30th 2011.
I mentioned to my co teacher I'd need an extra month, because I'm thinking I could potentially get into some sort of trouble if I leave a month after what it says on my ARC card. She calls Immi Office and they say I need all the documents one would need to even come here! CBC(Federal from the US) degree, etc... REALLY?!
Isn't it Immigrations fault for not checking my final end date and stamping it for that day instead of a month before I have to leave???
I see me paying a good amount of money in the near future for a month extension that wasn't my fault in the first place..
help. |
