hello,

I'm 2 weeks out from arriving and I'm wondering if I should bring my gym gloves and belt along?

Total gym-rat, me.

The one's I have are old and need replacement but I'm wondering how easy is it to find these items in country?

I really want to travel light and not tote any extra items along if I don't have to...

thanks

You can find decent gym gloves at any of the big supermarket stores, like E-Mart or Home Plus. Any sports store will carry them. I think you can also find belts there too, but I think most gyms will have belts lying around.

Of course, you shouldn't be using a belt to begin with! And gloves? Most people don't need them. I only use them for deadlifts because my muscles are a lot stronger than my weak-ass skin, and also my fingers are short and woman-like, so gloves are actually necessary. I would say that if you're not ripping your skin off every time you lift heavy, then you don't need them. I would worry more about gym shoes, specifically barefoot style shoes, if you don't already have them.
