I'll be looking for a good gym in a couple of day when I move up there. I'm wondering if anyone knows about the gyms in that area. I really don't care about spas or any of that extra crap. Basically I'd like to know if the gym has good bar bells, good dumb bells, and other things like a squat rack or cable machines. Price is not a huge issue, as long as the gym has everything I need, though of course I'd rather pay less. Anyone have any info on this? |

There's one right under the Outback restaurant. I can't remember the name. But it's 50,000 won a month, I believe. You get a discount if you pay for more than one month. But you're not guaranteed if the owner, say, closes shop and runs away with the money. (It happened at the gym/pool a while back.)
There's also one called Lion's Fitness. It's only a couple of minutes away from outback. I have friends that go there - not sure of the price.
There's a few more in the area, but I don't know much about them. |

i had a membership at lion's gym last year.. 4 months for 200,000 and includes access to the squash courts (similar to racquetball). I think it's cheaper if you don't wanna play squash. Kind of small gym, but the owner is real nice and it's usually not very crowded. |
