This is an ancient thread that I started....a year ago?
Anyway I finally bought the brand new macbook pro that came out last month after waiting forever, so I thought I'd share. I bought if from the Korean apple website. After comparing prices all the prices with currency exchange rates etc, it was about 150,000 won more expensive to buy it in Korea.
I used the Korean Apple Education store and got the discount even though I'm not currently a student in Korea, so if you're buying from the Korean apple site I would highly recommend doing that.
Anyway, two main reasons I paid the extra 150,000 won:
1) I didn't want to have to deal with a customs nightmare, them holding it hostage and requiring an exorbitantly high fee to get it out of customs.
2) I really really wanted hangul on the keyboard, and the US apple site does not offer the Korean keyboard, even if you call them up and beg them. |

| First off @ Banana_Man, you'll have no problem with Korean websites on a mac. Personally I use Google Chrome |
Highly inaccurate information above. You must go to less than a handful of Korean sites for that to be accurate. Most don't function correctly without IE |
