| I plugged my Galaxy U into Kies again and it's still telling me that Froyo is the latest verison available. does anyone know when Gingerbread is coming out? I love Droid but to be honest, my current OS crashes quite often, especially when doing stuff with the music player. |

| I've got it. I love it. I'm currently on 2.3.2 and it's awesome! Fast, complete, and never a problem except with a couple of odd apps. |

How did you get it though? When I went into Kies I didn't even get the option... |

| gingerbread has been out for a while. as for when carriers will update what models to it is up to them and a mystery until they announce it, if they even decide to upgrade a model to it at all. |

What's Kies?
My phone came loaded with 2.3.2 and it's not updated since I got it last month. I'm sure I'll get the updates as soon as they're available though as they come from Google, not any carrier. |

KIES is the program through which you're officially "supposed" to update your phone with. It's a Samsung program and it came with my phone (as an installer on the phone's flash drive).
KIES isn't updated very often so it still shows Froyo as being the latest version. |
