I have been told that IBK charges 8,000 won per transfer.
Which banks in Korea offer the lowest fee for transfer of funds in Korea to an account in the USA?
Among those banks, is there anything important to watch out for/ beware of?
I would want to transfer about 1M won each month. |

it varies depending on who your bank back home is. It seems some Korean banks to some back home banks will skip the middle man. Mine does, 8000 here, $10 back home.
Other people end up paying 8000-15000 here, then get hit with a middle man for $20 USD, then pay $5-10 back home as well.
who is your bank back home? |
