i'm coming up to the end of my first year in korea.
i was wondering if anyone had any feedback who has done this process recently...
if i sign on for a different school, then i obviously require a new CBC [uk cit.]. i used my original degree to get my first position. as i understand it i would have to get this copied and apostilled. is it possible in seoul? i've heard conflicting things regarding the brit. council. same for the CBC - i got this apostilled in MK back in england but i'm unsure how to do it here.
also - do i require another set of transcripts?
i hear that now on E2 you're officially allowed to have more than one place of employment on your visa, so was planning on having a kindy and then doing some elementary in the afternoon. is this legitimate? it seems a little too good to be true..
i plan on going on vacation to japan for a couple of weeks, then starting a new job after. i doubt how succesful i'll be at this though!
cheers for any feedback - |

Someone else can answer your questions about what you need for changing jobs as I haven't a clue. As for your questions above, you can get any document notarised at the British Council office (I got 5 copies of my degree done for 50,000 or 60,000). To do that, you need to fill out a form on their website. They then check with your university to see that you have actually graduated and that the degree is an authenticate document. You can not get a document apostilled there, though (or anywhere else in Korea as a Brit). Unfortunately, if you want something to be apostilled, it has to go back to either the FCO in Milton Keynes or to a private (very expensive) company. |

thanks for the input mate. i'm confused as to what constitutes a 'copy' of the degree. i've got my original here, how do you go about getting a genuine copy. it can't just be a photocopy job surely |

Yes, a photocopy. If you go the British council route, I think I had to email them a scanned copy first. You then take your degree to them after a few days. They'll photocopy it and then stamp and sign the copy. |
