So I heard the Kyung Hee University Korean language program does 6 hours of training per day, which is more than the usual average of 4. Has anyone done the program and how did it stack up compared to say Yonsei? (if you've tried both)

From a variety of people forced to take this Korean language program because it was part of their scholarship to study through Kyunghee for 6 mths or a year before starting grad school I have heard that the Kyunghee program is about as useful as a spoon when your rowboat has a leak. They might have been exaggerating, but their Korean pretty much sucked, so they weren't pushing it too far from the truth. The program could have improved, though. On the other hand I met people in 2010 who'd just finished a term in the program and still couldn't order off the menu. Of course they were non-English, non-Chinese, non-Japanese speakers who were probably completely lost in class.
