I have tried to find a thread which would save me from creating this however was unsuccessfull in my search.
Could someone please provide a list for me/others of the times of year that are best to find employment with in South Korea?
I have been offered a short break during August but am wondering wether or not this will hinder my plan to find employment in Korea for after the summer. Any help would be much appreciated. |

If you're looking for public school jobs, the new school year starts in March. So the months preceding that are a good time to look. Some public schools also hire teachers to start after the summer break, which ends toward the end of August. So you can find some public school jobs in the summer.
Hogwans hire year-round, but some follow a similar hiring pattern to the public schools and try to have their teachers start in March or July. With most hogwans you can find a job any time of the year because it is based on when their teachers' contracts end, which could be any time.
Koreans like to do things at the last minute and rarely hire well in advance. They'll probably want you to start as soon as possible, so have your documents ready. |

Thanks Big Mack.
Thats a great help and cleared a few issues up for myself and hopefully other that may read your reply.
My plan is to get my paper's in order before I head away for the two week break mid way through August so it could possibly work out perfect if I manage to gain employment around September time. |
