Street kiosks in Seoul sell "toast," or an omlette sandwich that they make on the spot. The problem is, they add SUGAR after adding ketchup to the sandwich. Rolling Eyes

I also had an egg salad at the chain Joe's Sandwich, and it turns out they added JAM to the bread.

Feel free to add.

Does it have to be something Koreans sell?

Since coming here, I've developed the spaghetti-making habits of 1) cooking my tomato-based sauce with coconut milk and balsamic vinegar, and 2) frying onions, canned tuna, and already-cooked noodles together, keeping them at all times separate from the sauce until ready to plate. I'm sure Korea had something to do with the canned tuna getting in there, but the coconut milk, no idea.

I can't believe someone is finally getting around to this...but they put sugar on most things not meant for sugar. I hate it the most on the breakfast sandwiches...gets me every time...for 2 years.

Hey this will be a nice breakf.....DIABEETUS!

I've been fooled by croutons and garlic toast a few times when out and not thinking. I made a point of making it properly when I had some Korean coworkers over for dinner. I even added fresh mozzarella as a treat. They raved.

Dunkin' Donuts tried, and failed, a few years ago with this one-

They were all terrible, but the worst was the kimchi donut. Even my co-teachers hated it. The olive donut came in a close second.

The olive donut was incredibly terrible. Fortunately I did not try the kimchi donut, though I enjoy both, just not together.

The toast thing angers me deeply. I have learned how to request things not be put on my toast, but dear lord enough already with the sugar.

2 weeks ago I was @ DD and they had carrot, spinach, tomato, and broccoli donuts. The carrot one might not be that bad if it was made in the style of a carrot cake. I didn't try any of them but was tempted just to see what it would be like.

no particular order:

curry donut (others already mentioned the kimchi one)

Mayo on fruit salad (this one always gets me since I always assume it is yogurt)

Mandarin oranges on Nachos

Lemon in my Jack Coke.. wtf are they thinking

Lemon in Gin Tonic... again, wtf

Lemon in my already crappy Hite

Actually, pretty much Lemon in any alcoholic beverage that should either have a lime or orange.

Tequila goes with Lemon. That's pretty much all I can think of.

The sugar thing irks me too. Everything I eat here seems to be 'slightly' to 'OMFG-insulin-injection-nao' sweeter than back home.

NEVER order a bloody Mary made by a local. EVER!

Any coffee drink, even with VERY clear instructions = Latte. And much of the time it comes with caramel and shinomen.
