|
|
Wondering if there's an expat meetup group or anything like that in Yongin. I'm just wondering how to make friends with other foreigners here. It's been suggested that I go hang out at Exit Bar but the idea of going to a bar by myself, I'll admit is a little unappealing. But maybe a female person just showing up at a bar by herself here wouldn't be the same as doing so in the States.... Anyone have any suggestions??? |

There are plenty of foreigners in Suji (guessing that is where you are based on your mention of Exit). Just go up to them and talk I suppose.
Exit has changed into a hof type of place where you get your own beer out of refrigerators. They have about 60 different types as well as hard liquor. You are now allowed to bring in your own food, too. Due to this, it has brought in more Koreans.
There is still Trivia night and events. There are also darts,
free pool table, and free foosball. |

Crud. Looks like I've missed these. That's alright, I'm sick with a cold (already!) this weekend anyway.... Thanks VERY much for posting those events - I feel less isolated already! I've joined the group and will check for more events.... |

You're not far from Bundang, either -- a lot of people from Yongin go to the bars in Seohyeon. |

I almost moved to Yongin. Got offered a position at a public middle school but I declined since I really want to live in Seoul |

Yes, I'm over in Dongbaek-dong. I haven't been over to Sanggal, though. |
